Discover Your Inspired Best Life & Be an Anchor in an Untethered World

Discover Your Inspired Best Life
In the ancient world, March—the equinox—was the beginning of the new year. The equinox is when time comes back into balance, with the days and nights being the same length. With the new inspiring energy of spring upon us, it is a good time to take stock and ask yourself some life-directing questions.
Before you ask yourself those questions, it's important to choose your attitude.
I suggest embracing the lyrics of songwriting god Cat Stevens: "You're only dancing on this earth for a short while." Or, perhaps you're feeling more Prince like today and "Let's go crazy, let's get nuts" feels a little more apropos.
Regardless, get yourself a snack, and grab a pen and a paper.
Write down:
- 3 things you want most out of life
- 3 things you'd like to experience in your lifetime
- 3 things that make you unique
- 3 positive actions you can take in the next two weeks
Next: Circle one of each and then put them into the following:

Maybe you’ll stumble into a life-changing insight… or maybe you’ll just get a really good laugh. Either way, you win.
The only rule? Bring a beginner’s mindset. Stay open, curious, and a little playful—because that’s where life sneaks in the good stuff. Just as night and day need balance, so you do you.

Staying Grounded in an Untethered World
Right now, the world feels like it’s wandering through a dark forest at 2 a.m. with no flashlight, and realizing something close by just howled.
As we’ve been experiencing, our world is in the throes of figuring out what it even is. What we assumed was forever has revealed, well, that it is not. And honestly?
That’s not entirely a bad thing.
We already know change is the only constant—though, to be fair, most of us would have preferred the “gentle life lesson” version instead of the “let's light it on fire and watch it burn” approach.
The current U.S. government is going through a structural upheaval— everything getting knocked back to the studs. It’s chaotic, yes. A little terrifying, absolutely. But it also means that changes that might have taken decades now have the strange opportunity to happen much faster.
When social trust erodes this quickly, it feels like a bad breakup. Not the mutual, “we both grew apart” kind let’s stay friends—more like the “I found your secret second phone” kind.
But when the old relationship falls away, it makes space for something else:
Possibility.
The truth is, most people want leaders who care more about actual humans than their own job security. Leaders with integrity. Leaders who don’t treat democracy like a competitive sport where the goal is to redraw the field until you always win - something both parties have been guilty of.
So what do you do when everything feels this untethered?
You become the anchor.
Staying grounded in yourself is the move right now. Think of those time-lapse videos of the night sky: stars streaking, the Milky Way shifting, and then it becomes dawn—all while the camera remains steady. Be like the camera.
Yes, the world is spinning. No, we can’t control most of it. But we can choose where we stand.
And here’s the quiet wisdom beneath all this chaos. We know the rhythm. Confusion, dawn, and clarity.
This too will pass and better things will come from it.
Until then, trust your instincts, keep yourself on solid footing, and choose to be in the present because that is where your power currently is.

Having confidence in your ability to lead others is huge. Confidence, in part, comes from knowledge. This is a course I put together that unpacks how culture is created and how to impact change. Creating culture is useful not just on a large scale but also for creating the culture of your home.
